2006 Seminar Series

CSS designed and launched our "Introduction to Stock Markets" Seminar Series for the Ugandan investing public in July. 

The half-day seminar topics include, “Introduction to Stock Markets”, “How to make (or lose!) money on a stock market”, “How to get involved in Uganda’s Stock Market”.  The Seminars were promoted through newspaper articles and other media.

Robert Baldwin, CEO of Crested Stocks and Securities, explains the genesis for the seminar series:

“When we were developing the material for our seminar we realized that there is an information gap about Stock Markets in Uganda.  Many people see the stock trading report in the newspapers or hear on the radio or TV about shares going up or down, or companies declaring dividends, but have no idea what all of this means or how to get involved.  We believe that the working and investing public in Uganda are interested in learning more about stock markets.  That is why Crested Stocks and Securities launched this seminar series.”
